Professor Charlene LeBleu, FASLA, has been appointed Interim Program Chair and Interim Graduate provisionary Officer of architecture effective Lammas Day till July 2015.  National vp of analysis for the Council of Educators in architecture and a member of the yankee Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), her primary areas of interest and analysis are targeted on inexperienced building and water quality problems, particularly problems associated with low impact development style.


LeBleu replaces Rod Barnett, PhD, UN agency has been appointed chair of the Master of architecture program within the surface-to-air missile Fox faculty of style & Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis.

On Auburn's field, academic LeBleu has recently been concerned within the restoration Parkerson Mill Creek, a field project that has incorporated specialists in engineering, husbandry, soil science, environmental sciences, architecture and concrete designing. The Executive Committee of the Birmingham chapter of the yankee Institute of Architects recently named creator and achromatic alumni Joel Blackstock, of Williams Blackstock Architects, as its 2014 recipient of the "Birmingham award Award."  The Award is that the highest honor the Chapter will bestow on one among its members, Associate in Nursingd indicates peer recognition of an exemplary action or service to the Chapter, profession or society.

Professor Magdalena Garmaz has been named chair of Bachelor of Science in Environmental style Program (BSEV) within the school of design, style and Construction. Garmaz, UN agency holds the Ann and Batey financier office, joined the CADC college in 1990 within the faculty of design, designing and architecture (APLA). Her analysis and teaching has targeted on the connection of design and textiles, exploring completely different textile techniques and their application within the design creating method. With work featured in Metropolis magazine and within the book Exploring Materials by E. Lupton and that i. Alesina (Princeton bailiwick Press, 2010), Garmaz has won grants from the Alabama Arts Fellowship and also the Graham Foundation and been a visiting creator because the yankee Academy in Rome, Italy.
